This is an overview of contemporary conditions of clinical psychology training. Objective. It aims to define the pathway to qualification with considerations of the planning process. Method. The data were identified through review of regulations and scientific recommendations that are relevant to the European education context and the Cypriot environment. Results. Through the study of publications it is evident that there is consensus for curriculum improvement, regulation improvement to enable work opportunities at graduate level and need to improve graduates’ employment prospects. Conclusions. The personal dilemmas of Psychology graduates and postgraduate students are discussed by national and European groups and committees. There are organized bodies through which the prevention of fraud is advocated. Inferences are made to recommend direction of future goals.
